Municipality (local government)
- Languages accepted
- IS
- Note
- 64 Icelandic municipalities (sveitarfélög) operate their own websites and would individually fall in scope of Lög nr. 20/2026 as public bodies. Each is responsible for its own accessibility statement and feedback mechanism. Reykjavíkurborg (the capital) accounts for ~37% of the population. For S3.urban (urban passenger transport self-service terminals), Strætó bs. — the joint municipal undertaking operating the capital-area bus network — would be the presumptive operator-level body.
